Following a complete redevelopment, the works of which have recently been completed, the property in Via delle Mantellate in Florence, belonging to the Ricasoli Fund, underwritten by Fidera and Cedar Capital Partners and managed by Kryalos SGR, is ready to inaugurate its new spaces signed by The Hoxton, brand of the London-based Ennismore Group, an institution in the hospitality and lifestyle sector.

The property, which opened to the public on March 1st, 2025, represents the second hotel in Italy by the British brand of “open-house” hotels established in East London in 2006, following the success of The Hoxton Rome opened in 2021, also housed in a property managed by Kryalos.

Located in the heart of Florence’s historic center, just a short walk from Piazza della Libertà and iconic monuments such as the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery and the Fortezza da Basso, The Hoxton Florence is a new hotel where history and modernity meet.

In detail, the complex includes two distinct buildings: a late Renaissance palace from the 16th century, originally built for the Ricasoli family, which retains the original facade with an impressive vaulted portico and frescoes from 1611, and a building designed in the 1980s, which features minimalist architecture with a slatted wooden facade.

Following extensive upgrading, the complex has been transformed into a boutique hotel housing 161 rooms, including the House: an independent three-bedroom apartment with private entrance, ideal for families and large groups. The offer is complemented by the Alassio restaurant, which serves dishes inspired by Italian coastal cuisine, the lively wine bar Enoteca Violetta, a large interior courtyard and spaces dedicated to events. The interiors, designed by AIME Studios, feature a mix of bright colors, bold patterns and vintage pieces, celebrating the evolution of Florentine style. In addition, the hotel offers a covered parking area with 90 parking spaces, providing guests with maximum comfort and convenience.

“Hotellerie is confirmed as a strategic asset class, especially in high-profile destinations like Florence, where international tourism fuels a constant demand for quality facilities. We are thrilled to renew our partnership with The Hoxton, following the success in Rome, to breathe new life into this building, transforming it into a boutique hotel that combines contemporary hospitality and respect for the history of the place. The enhancement of iconic properties, preserving their identity and connection to the urban context, is a fundamental principle in our approach to investment,” concluded Paolo Bottelli, founder and CEO of Kryalos.
