Located in the heart of Florence’s historic center, a few steps from Piazza della Libertà and iconic monuments such as the Duomo, the Uffizi Gallery and the Fortezza da Basso, The Hoxton Florence is a new hotel where history and modernity meet.
The structure, which opened to the public on March 1, 2025, represents the second hotel in Italy of the English “open-house” hotel brand born in East London in 2006, following the success of The Hoxton Rome inaugurated in 2021, also housed in a property managed by Kryalos.
The complex includes two distinct buildings: a late-Renaissance palace from the 16th century, originally built for the Ricasoli family, which retains the original façade, with an imposing vaulted portico and frescoes dating back to 1611, and a building designed in the 1980s, which features minimalist architecture with a slatted wooden façade.
Following an in-depth enhancement project, the complex has been transformed into a boutique hotel with 161 rooms, a restaurant, a wine bar, a large internal courtyard, spaces dedicated to events and a covered parking area with 90 parking spaces.
